The Brief
The exchange needed a trading screen that feels fast to experienced traders and calm to first-time buyers. We started from interviews and support tickets to find where new users gave up before their first trade.
Success meant fewer abandoned first trades and no loss of speed for the professionals who already used the platform every day.
Our Approach
We rebuilt the order flow around a single screen, put risk warnings next to the action they apply to, and tested a clickable prototype with real traders before any code was written.
Every design decision was checked against two groups, new buyers and experienced traders, so that making the screen calmer never made it slower.
The result is a trading screen with a clear hierarchy, a dark and a light theme, and a design system the in-house team now extends on its own.
